Each member of our team at Sista Girl productions has over a decade of experience working in their respective fields. All members of our production team at Sista Girl each have a creative background in the visual arts. We find that this provides us with a discerning stylistic edge when creating media for today’s digital world.
Kimba Thompson – Creative Director
Kimba Thompson is a filmmaker, freelance producer and arts consultant. She has worked on a diverse range of projects, which focus primarily on the use of storytelling as a vehicle to promote Aboriginal art and culture within Australia. Kimba formed Sista Girl Productions, an Indigenous Arts and Broadcast company in 1997. Kimba has over 16yrs experience working in the arts, from Producer, director, artistic director, curator & a contemporary multimedia artist. Kimba obtained a Masters of Arts from RMIT University in 2009.
Kelleh Thompson – Graphic Design
Kelleh has over 10 years of Art Direction and Graphic Design experience, having produced work for clients such as M&C Saatchi. Kelleh is also an established artist exploring issues around societal health & individual displacement.
Susan Forrester – Events Management
Susan is an experienced producer and Events manager with transferable skills acquired within festival and community arts management, specialising in the direction and production of artistic, cultural and community programs. With a professional background in artist practice, event management and extensive industry experience, she is able to bring a diverse and professional approach to project management. A strong communicator at all internal and external levels Susan has strong and demonstrated experience in contractual, human resource and logistical requirements whilst working within tight time and budgetary constraints.
An accomplished team leader she is committed to the concepts of cultural sensitivity and collaboration as vital to building festivals and arts projects. She is an outstanding team player clearly able to work on her own initiative and develop personal networks to provide advantage in current and future roles.Susan has recently successfully completed the role of National Community Event Services Manager for BDO Presents pty Ltd, producers of the iconic annual Big Day Out Festival.

• Sessional lecturer in event management at JMC academy in Melbourne.
Rob Hely – Film & Video
Rob Hely has a PhD in Film from Swinburne University, and a Masters degree in digital media from RMIT University. Rob has been shooting and editing video and film professionally for over 10 years. Rob also lectures part-time in video production at Monash University.
